Custom artwork

My name is Colleen Stevens.  I discovered I had the talent for art when I was 16 years old.  My sister was always the artist in the family, so I just left it at that.  One day I was bored and saw a picture on the wall and decided to give it a try.  When I finished I looked at what I had created and thought "wow, that's not half bad".  Since I have drawn random pictures for people, but I would go sometimes years between work.  I moved to Cedar City in 2002 and began working in the ICU as a registered nurse.  My co-worker's saw some of my work and began commissioning me to do work for them.  It was only about 2 years ago that I finally got my work into the public.  Often I am asked why I am a nurse and not just an artist.  I love nursing, and that is my job, art is a hobby and that's how I want it to stay.
